Hello friends!
It has been a super busy 6-8 weeks. We have finished remodeling our building, had it repainted outside, and added lots of beautiful light to the inside. We are excited to get all of our yarn and notions inside and arranged so that we can embark on this great adventure. Thank you to all of you that have supported us with encouragement in many ways. We hope you all will come and spend time with us when we open! Linda and I have been ordering lots and lots of yarn, and the new colors and patterns are wonderful. Can't wait to share it all with you. We have learned so much about production of yarn, point of origin, dyeing methods, and the wonderful animals it comes from. Did you know that the last hands to touch the yarn is where the yarn actually hails from? It may not be spun there, dyed there, or wound there, but the label might be put on there so thats where it show it comes from.. Cool. Color, color, and more color is the name of the game. The colors of the hand paints are strong, saturated and if they could talk they would be screaming! On the other end the colorless,(natural colors), are just as stunning in their own way. I love seeing the natural colors and just picturing in my mind the sheep or goat out on the range grazing. Fibers are another wonderful, amazing part of this overwhelming process. Choosing what we think you might enjoy is fun, scary, and fascinating. So many wonderful combinations, all just begging to be knitted or woven into something worthy of a beautiful gift or personal indulgence. This week will be busy, installing our point of sale software, that automatically deducts our products from our inventory when a purchase is made! Planted our juniper trees out front,, and we have a cool designer doing some amazing shelving for our classroom. So thankful for my partner,Linda. her energy and ebullient spirit keep me inspired as well. My dad has been here staying with me at my home, and I have enjoyed him being at our shop this week, He is one of our investors! He has invested in me for his whole life, and I couldn't be more thankful. Hoping to get this website a little more useful, so be on the watch out for more updates about our grand opening and some cool classes that we will be offering!Have a wonderful blessed week my friends !
